Since the day my parents decided to sign me up for swimming lessons at the tender age of one, I have felt a special bond with swimming. This has evolved through my life into a passion for all water-related activities, both indoor and outdoor.
I took lessons until I was 13, and then started competing for my school’s swimming club in the Spanish Swimming Federation for a further 6 years. It was during my time at university that I decided to become a swimming teacher in order to give children the opportunity to feel what I do when I am in the water: Happiness. Security. A temporary disconnection from life’s worries. Most of all, the freedom that comes with this sense of a loss of gravity that feels like flying!
The club I competed for welcomed me into the teaching fold, and I felt a wonderful sense of belonging while teaching for them for over five years until I moved to London, where I am extremely excited to work for SwimWay!
