Autumn Term SwimWay Health & Safety Training 2016
At SwimWay swimming school we pride ourselves on the quality of our instructors, and the culture of safety and improvement is a large part of what makes our team so loved by parents and pupils alike.
At the start of every term of swimming lessons, SwimWay instructors undergo health and safety training. This training keeps our instructors up to date and focused on the latest techniques and procedures for working with children in and around the pool.
Specialised health and safety consultant David Perry uses his own wealth of knowledge and works with SwimWay to create the best safety training for our staff and ultimately better and safer classes for your children.
Every parent wants to know that their child will be safe, and as a company we take that responsibility very seriously. This unique health & safety training is undertaken three times a year at the start of every SwimWay term. That is far more regularly that the legal minimum of only once every two years, which other schools may provide their staff.
This training is especially catered for the SwimWay teaching methodology, and the unique private facilities in which we teach our swimming lessons. Each of our pools are different, and our training reflects this, taking into account the restrictions of each pool location.
These sessions provide an opportunity to ask questions and discuss methods. Not only will our instructors be present with a number of possible incidents and the correct procedure to overcome them, but our staff will re-enact scenarios from minor cuts and scrapes to serious illness and the need to administer CPR. As you see from the pictures above from our Autumn term session.
This ensures that whether being taught in a private home, or in an exclusive sports club, SwimWay instructors will be prepared with safety and expertise.
