SwimWay Instructor David Ashton – London Marathon Man

In April 2018, SwimWay Kensington head coach and site manager David Ashton completed the London Marathon. His time was 4 hours and 56 minutes.

Battling the heat of the hottest marathon to date, Dave raised £2,187.20 for the charity Clic Sargent.  This is a wonderful charity that supports families of children and teenagers with cancer.  Five years ago David lost his own father to cancer. His dad always said that the worst part of having cancer was seeing children who were afflicted by the disease.

David will be working hard to complete the London Classics this year, whilst raising money for Clic Sargent.  The London Marathon was the first stage.  The next stage is the Prudential 100-mile bike ride in July. Then, to finish the challenge, a 2-mile swim around the Serpentine.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED IN SUPPORT OF DAVID AND CLIC SARGENT!
