Following our previous pool focus posts, we now go to our small, but popular SwimWay Wandsworth Common venue.
Perfect Location
This lovely little 8-metre pool is always fully booked. We offer our lessons mainly to the surrounding neighbours. They appreciate the ease of having a pool within walking distance where their children can learn to swim. Located a stone’s throw from the common, it is the perfect location for our lessons.
Ages & Abilities
Due to the size of the venue, we limit the age and ability of the students to 2-7 years, up to stage 5. Any older/more advanced children are usually advised to look at booking at one of our larger venues (the closest alternatives would be Balham/Tooting Bec or Clapham Common).
Lesson Schedule
We run term-time lessons only at this pool, Monday – Thursday afternoons. These classes run as 1:1 lessons only, with two instructors teaching every half an hour. Thus, we ensure a more personal lesson with a focus on each child’s individual needs. A perfect learning environment for young, beginner/developing swimmers!
Parking
Most of our clients walk to this venue as they live in the area, or are coming from Wandsworth Common Station (a 7-minute walk). However, free parking is available on Morella Road & surrounding roads, except between 10:30am – 11:30am. If you do drive, please always park with respect for the neighbours.
Facilities & Access
Facilities include 2 Changing Cubicles, toilet, shower, viewing area, waiting area, hairdryer and a receptionist. Please do note that entry is gained through a steep stairway, via the main house entrance. As a result, all buggies must be left in the gated area to the left of the house entrance.
