FAQ: Parent & Baby Age Group Lesson Times

When booking for the following term, many parent and baby clients ask “What time do I have to change to?” A perfectly valid query as many schools have specific parent and baby lesson times for certain ages/stages. However, SwimWay does not operate in this manner.

The age group of our parent and baby classes change with the ages of children who are booked into it. If you are booked into a 06-12 month class and all the children in that class turn 12 months old, the class will simply become a 12-18 month class. Even if one or two of the children are not quite 12 months yet. As long as the instructor feels the group is suitably matched, we always prefer to keep the same parents/children swimming together for as long as possible.

SwimWay Parent & Baby Swimming in Putney

The only time we might have to change the time for a parent & baby lesson is if only one or two children re-enrol into the class, and there is another more suitable timeslot with more children. Should this be the case, you will be contacted before the general bookings open with alternatives. Hence, you do not need to do anything. If you want to continue swimming, simply rebook. If there are any issues with your lesson time we will be in touch.

Don’t forget, if your child is between the age of 24-36 months, they might be able to partake in 1:1 lessons too. If this would be more preferable for you, have a chat with your instructor to see if they are ready!

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further queries!
