5 New Year Resolutions for Parents of SwimWay Students

The SwimWay Spring Swimming Term starts in January! So, let’s set some New Year’s resolutions for all our swimming families around London!

1. Swim More

Your children love their swimming lessons, so why not find some time to join them in the water, and let them show off what they’ve learnt at the local swimming pool or lido? Or even better, why not sign them up for a SwimWay intensive swimming Crash Course during the holidays?

2. Be Prepared!

With the start of the New Year, still reeling from the holidays and getting ready to send the children back to school, it’s very easy to get a bit disorganised. So this year, let us all make an effort to be more prepared! We handily have our term dates posted on our website for you to review, why not pop them in your calendar now? Or create a shortcut to the page on your mobile!

3. Spend some time with the family

One great thing about our lessons is that we encourage parents to watch their classes at the poolside. In our Parent & Baby swimming lessons, you are in the pool with your baby, bonding and teaching your little one to trust you in the water. It is a reminder of how precious these moments are. Spend bath time with them and play. Or if your partner usually brings the little ones, find some time to swap.

4. Keep the family healthy

Every year we resolve ourselves to keep the family healthy, to eat better, and get more exercise. This year let’s make these new year’s resolutions stick! Weekly swimming lessons help keep them to a healthy routine and start them off with good habits. Why not take advantage of this new life skill and raise some money by pledging to do a family swimathon for your favourite charity?

5. Enjoy Yourselves!

Lastly, let us remember to have fun in the pool. Swimming is of a vital life skill. It can help keep you healthy, and may even save your life, or help save the lives of others. But don’t forget that swimming is also an enjoyable social activity, so let’s remember to have a little fun too!
