With SwimWay since December 2025
My passion for teaching began with my younger brother, who has Down’s syndrome and autism. Watching the impact that patient, specialist coaching had on him inspired me to pursue swimming teaching and develop the same thoughtful, supportive approach in my own lessons.
With a long-standing background in teaching since 2017, including roles as Swim Teacher and Lead Teacher at Windsor Leisure Centre, I’ve developed strong skills in building confidence, supporting water-anxious swimmers, and creating clear, progressive pathways for all abilities.
I also have extensive experience working with children and adults with special educational needs, both professionally and through many years volunteering with the Electric Eels Down Syndrome Swimming and Synchronised Swimming Club. This has equipped me to adapt lessons sensitively for swimmers with a wide range of additional needs.
Above all, I aim to make every session calm, encouraging, and enjoyable, helping each swimmer build confidence in the water and work towards their own personal goals at a pace that suits them.
