Hi, I’m Marcelo, originally from Bahia, a vibrant coastal region of Brazil known for its beautiful beaches and strong water culture. Growing up surrounded by the ocean, water sports quickly became a central part of my life and inspired my passion for swimming.

My formal journey into swimming began in 2004 while studying Sports Science at the Catholic University of Salvador. Around the same time, I worked as a lifeguard at Wet’n’Wild Water Park, where I developed essential water safety skills and discovered my love for teaching.

I then spent ten years from 2009-2019 teaching children and adults to swim in London, after which followed several years abroad living and working in different countries as a swimming and sports teacher.  I recently returned to the UK with renewed energy and fresh perspective.  My international experience has enriched my teaching style and deepened my ability to connect with students of all ages and backgrounds.

I’m passionate about helping swimmers build confidence, develop strong technique, and enjoy their time in the water.  Whether working with a nervous beginner or an experienced swimmer, I aim to inspire a lifelong love for swimming and personal growth through every lesson.
