What a fantastic way to celebrate another successful year at SwimWay! The annual SwimWay Winter Party was a moment to honour the hard work and dedication of our amazing team. Dressed to the nines, SwimWay staff gathered for a memorable evening.
A Wonderful Venue
This year, our wonderful Facilities Manager and party planner, Ana Pastor, chose the perfect venue. Thai Square in Putney hosted our gathering on the 30th of November. No, Ana’s choice certainly did not disappoint! The restaurant has long stood as a well-known and regular feature on Putney High Street. Now we had the pleasure of experiencing it firsthand!
The moment we arrived, friendly staff greeted us, and the enticing aroma of delicious Thai food filled the air. The restaurant reserved a dedicated section for SwimWay. Thus creating the perfect setting for our celebration.

We arrived to prawn crackers and champagne. This set a delightful tone for the experience. These were accompanied by a variety of drinks to kick off the evening. The set menu offered a selection of mouth-watering dishes, and the conversations flowed just as freely as the drinks! Our talented photographer and swimming teacher, Jordana Barale, was also on hand to capture every joyful moment.
We began with a delightful starter, followed by a spicy soup, a delectable main course, and a sweet dessert. Of course, after indulging in such a feast, we can confidently recommend Thai Square in Putney. Our thanks for their exceptional service and delicious food!
King and Queen of Glamour
As the evening progressed, Dan Pastor, SwimWay’s founder, announced the winners of the coveted King and Queen of Glamour award! Each staff member voted for the most glamorous male and female team member, who each received a £100 Amazon gift voucher. So, this was a very sought-after prize! The team voted Sandro Squillace and Kirsty McLauchlan as the King and Queen of Glam! This was, of course, a very well-deserved win for them both!
The Afterparty
After the awards, the fun continued just next door at The Dukes Head. Here, the celebrations carried on late into the night. The SwimWay Winter Party is always a much-loved bookend to a very long term and year. So, we are all very happy to have been a part of it!
Here’s to another fantastic year at SwimWay, and we look forward to even more fun-filled moments in the future! Don’t forget, our Spring Term kicks off in January. So for now, we would like to wish you all a lovely, festive winter break!
