Do You Want To Become A Swimming Instructor?

At SwimWay, we are always on the lookout for experienced, senior-level, London-based instructors. Do you want to become a swimming instructor and join our team? You must have a passion for teaching young children, as well as:

  • Minimum 2-years’ experience teaching private/semi-private lessons in London
  • STA/Swim England level 2 qualification (or international equivalent recognised by the STA/Swim England)
  • Recent DBS check
  • IOF certificate of insurance or instructor liability insurance
  • NLPQ or national rescue award for swimming teachers and coaches
  • Ability to commit to a minimum 1-year contract
  • Minimum 2 references
  • A proven record of outstanding swimming lessons in private and semi-private classes for children between the ages of two and nine years
  • Preferable to also have experience teaching small group parent & baby lessons for children between the ages of 3-36 months

All Aquatic Training Course qualifications are endorsed and regulated by Ofqual (England), Qualifications Wales, CEA (Northern Ireland), the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport & Physical Activity (CIMSPA) and accredited by SQA Accreditation (Scotland).

Alberto & Lydia have over 20 years of experience in the swimming industry, teaching, coaching and competing. After proudly obtaining Tutor Status with the STA, they are thrilled to start delivering the STA Award in Teaching Swimming, and are excited to pass their knowledge and experience onto others, so that they too can enjoy this rewarding career.
