The SwimWay Boat

SwimWay is a brand new 2023 Merry Fisher 895 Sports Offshore Motor Boat with twin 250HP Yamaha outboard engines. The 29ft / 8.95m long vessel has been YDSA coded for up to five passengers. With full commercial insurance for charter guest and professional skippers within the Solent and beyond.

The boat provides comfortable outside space with a forward seating area for relaxing while at anchor, and social seating and dining area to the aft. A fully enclosed pilot cabin with internal table and seating along with 2 berths and a toilet/shower room is also available. The vessel has a strong body design, but with its 2 powerful engines it will very comfortably cruise between 25 to 30 knots. Ideal to reach anywhere around the Solent & Isle of Wight in good time.

Boat Usage

SwimWay Boating is ideal for an exclusive and tailor-made opportunity to explore the beautiful coastline not far from London. We can tailor make any requests that could include:

Birthday celebrations/events for friends/family – plenty of lovely, easily accessible restaurants to choose from
Family day out with a swim and lunch (weather permitting)
An opportunity for coaching and practicing open water swimming
Child water adaption to deeper water swimming – ideal before any beach holidays
A combination of all of the above. We will tailor make a trip according to your specifications

Suggested Routes (Starting From The Hamble)

We could visit the Beaulieu river and meander along the only privately owned waterway in the UK. Along the stretch of the Lord Montagues Beaulieu river is a number of restaurants with New Forest providing a beautiful back drop on either bank of this historical waterway.

We could journey to Osbourne bay and anchor in the prime spot to view Elizabeth’s Osbourne House, strategically positioned with a view of the picturesque bay. This could be followed up with in one of the many delightful eateries Cowes has to offer.

Heading East, we can enter the naval port of Portsmouth, and once permission has been granted by the Kings Harbour master, we would cross to Gunwharf Quay where the modern quayside outlets and restaurants beckon.

Weather & Cancellations

We are in England, after all, so the weather can be a little challenging at times! However we can always discuss and adapt plans to find a comfortable and safe route to a new and exciting venue. Very seldomly would the knowledgeable skipper not have a route to surprise you with, giving you a wonderful day on the water in one of the many bays, harbours and marinas on offer.

Heath & Safety and The Skipper

On arriving at the vessel you will be given an overview of the facilities on board and the safety equipment available. This is a little like when you are preparing for a flight on an aeroplane. The skipper will be there to assist and guide you through the do’s and don’ts to follow during the day. They will be following the guidelines given to coded vessels and as laid out in the boat’s own standard operating procedures.

Location

SwimWay Motor Boat Charters & Events is located on Port Hamble Marina. Thus, positioned strategically at the heart of the Solent, close to the historical Hamble Village. A perfect spot to end a full day in the water.
