I have always been very passionate about sports; canoeing, cycling, surfing, swimming and more! Most recently I have started stand up paddling which I can’t seem to get enough of!
My swimming story began at the tender age of 7. Due to persistent asthma attacks, the doctor recommended I take up swimming. My teacher was given advance warning and instructions about the issue and helped me through the recovery and development process. After a year I was miraculously free from asthma! This experience instilled in me a deep passion for the sport, and I trained hard to qualify for a club swimming squad. I made it and competed for Joerg Bruder Sports Club for nearly 10 years.
I worked as a swimming teacher for over 4 years at Swimming Nature, First Swim, Nautilus Swimming and SwimWay before moving back to my home country to pursue other interests. Once I completed those endeavours, I made the decision to move back, and I am very happy to return to the SwimWay Team, feeling more energetic than ever!
I am looking forward to seeing all the pupils learning and progressing from class to class, and most importantly having lots of fun! My goal is to try to instill a similar passion for the water environment that I have into each one of my students.
