Account Manager / Head of Swimming

I can’t remember learning to swim although my father tells me I cried a lot when I first started!  By the time I was 11 years old I was swimming for the City of Bristol at County and National level.  Training involved swimming before and after school and that, along with all the other sports that I enjoyed and competed in, compounded my passion for sport.

I continued swimming throughout my adult life, fitting it alongside my work as an assistant in the City for 11 years.  I have worked at SwimWay since 2010, and enjoy the combination of working in the office as well as teaching swimming.  I can’t wait to get to the pool to teach at the end of a busy morning in the office!

I like to find a balance in the lessons I provide so that the children still have fun while learning to swim in a methodical and progressive way.  The small class sizes and attention that the children get in the SwimWay lessons means that they progress quickly, and this provides a great sense of achievement both for myself and the children I teach.
