SwimWay Summer Term 2024 Instructor Training

At SwimWay, we prioritise excellence and safety in every aspect of our operations. Our recent Summer Term 2024 Instructor Training day dedicated itself to equipping our instructors with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their roles and ensure the safety of our students. Let’s take a closer look at the key highlights from each training session:

1. Operational Meeting

Efficiency and excellence are at the core of SwimWay’s operations. Our operational meeting was led by Managing Director Dan Pastor. We welcomed new instructors, reminded the team of the importance of operational efficiency, celebrated milestones, and discussed plans to adapt to industry trends. With a renewed focus on excellence and innovation, SwimWay continues to deliver the highest levels of swimming education.

2. Mastering Breaststroke: The SwimWay Methodology

In this session, our instructors delved into the intricacies of teaching breaststroke. The presentation, led by Head of Swimming Tamsin Watt, and Training & Development Supervisor Lydia Baxter, focused on foundational techniques, breath control, and perfecting timing and coordination. With an emphasis on grace and precision, we equip our instructors to guide our students in mastering this essential swimming stroke.

2. Emergency First Aid Training for SwimWay Instructors

Safety is paramount at SwimWay, both in and out of the pool. Led by our Health & Safety Consultant David Ashton, instructors underwent comprehensive emergency first aid training. From CPR techniques to managing external bleeding and practical scenarios, our instructors are prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, ensuring the well-being of our students at all times.

Our comprehensive Summer Term 2024 Instructor Training reaffirms SwimWay’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and safety.
